How do I join?

Join the Facebook group, located here.

Register for the club through the DSE site.

Attend practice and pay dues.

-Go to this link: http://rec.rutgers.edu/screg
-Click on “Hi, Guest” in the top right corner and select "Log In" to log in with your NetID.
-Once the page refreshes and you see your name in the corner, select “Registration” under "Tennis".
-Be sure to complete the form in its entirety, otherwise you will not be approved and activated.
-If you selected documents to upload, ensure that they are current and valid.
-If you experience any issues with the process, let us know and we will either try to help or inform our supervisors of the problem.
When and where are practices?
Practice locations and times vary depending on weather and time of year. A post containing location and time will be made on the Facebook page before each practice.
How do I join the Executive Board?
In order to be considered for an executive board position, current e-board members will interview prospective candidates during the Fall semester for the following calendar year. If you are interested in a position, please e-mail rutennis@gmail.com and reach out to a current executive board member. Prospective board members should be active in the club: this includes regular attendance of practice and events such as fundraisers, tournaments, and social events, in order to get acquainted with the current board members.
I just like to play for fun. Do I have to play matches or competitively?
No. Fun is our top priority for the recreational members. You do not have to do anything that you do not want to do, as long as you follow basic club guidelines (safety, good sportsmanship, dues, etc.).

Do I have to attend every practice?
No. Recreational players can and should attend practices based on their schedule.
How do I join the travel team?
In order to be eligible for travel, you MUST attend tryouts, which are at the beginning of the Fall semester. All information regarding tryouts can be found on our Facebook page.
What do I need?
We provide court space and tennis balls. All you need to bring are shoes, tennis gear, and a racquet.
What are dues for?
Dues are a cornerstone to every Rutgers club. Our dues are spent to provide our players with indoor court time during the winter as well as tennis balls for practice.
What should I do if I have an idea to improve the club?
